I lead NEXT Strategic Advisors, a management consulting practice that focuses on helping entrepreneurial organizations make the leap to the next growth curve. My work focuses on the creation of growth strategy, the development of leadership teams, and ensuring the proper capital structure is in place.
I am the past CEO of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants. I've been a member since 1995, and I earned the Certified Management Consultant designation in 1997.
Previously, I served in leadership roles at the Richard Ivey School of Business.
This blog began when I volunteered at the Vancouver Olympics. During the course of the Games, a number of people started to read my blog. It culminated when CBC TV and Macleans magazine interviewed me, because they were reading the blog. I continue to write about topical issues, most of which relate to consulting and business.
I did my undergrad at The University of Western Ontario and earned an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business.
Outside of work, I enjoy sports. I was on the Western wrestling team, I run marathons, ski, have a golf addiction, and play hockey. I am the proud father of two teenage sons.
